Stephanie Ann Keys-Jacono – February 27, 1979 – September 22, 2026
Stephanie Ann Keys-Jacono, known to those who loved her as Steph, passed away on September 22, 2026, at Bayhealth Hospital in Dover Delaware, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 47 years old. Born on February 27, 1979, in Wilmington, Delaware, Stephanie lived a life defined by grit, love, and honesty. She was proud to have earned her GED, a milestone that spoke to her determination to keep moving forward no matter the obstacle. But if you asked her what mattered most, she would tell you it was her family. Raising six children was her greatest joy, and she found unconditional love in her marriage to Anthony, whom she wed in a ceremony aboard a boat, a fitting tribute to her love of fishing and the water. Stephanie was a woman of many characteristics. She was known for her witty humor, her brutal honesty, and her nurturing spirit. She had a strength that could not be broken and held tight to her independence. She spoke up, never sugarcoated much, and told people exactly how things were. But above all, Stephanie was kind. She forgave without conditions and was intentional with every person she let into her life. Even in her hardest battle, she gave light and direction to others while her own was fading, and that speaks volumes about the kind of person she was. She loved the Dallas Cowboys, a passion she inherited from her mom, and she collected stones and rocks from every place her travels took her. She was a steady supporter of breast cancer research throughout her life. Stephanie is proceeded in death by her mother, Elaine P. Grzybowski. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Jacono; her father, Paul A. Singleton; her daughters, Carryn E. Keys, Carrina M. Keys, and Natalie Jacono; her sons, Hunter A. Singleton, Shawn E. Keys, and Cameron E. Keys; her sister, Christina M. Singleton. A viewing will be held on September 30th from 9:30am to 11am at Strano Feeley Family Funeral Home, followed by a service from 11am to 12pm. Stephanie will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery. "You can carry only the weight of losing her or you can carry the strength she spent a lifetime placing inside of you. You can spend your life wondering why she had to leave or you can spend your life becoming everything she hoped you would be." May she rest in peace.
