Priscilla Ann Brown – July 11, 1959 – February 23, 2026
Priscilla Ann Brown, affectionately known as "Poochie," was born on July 11, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, to Foster Carroll Sr. and Dorothy Carroll. She departed this life on February 23, 2026, at the age of 66, in the city she always called home. Priscilla was a proud graduate of McKenzie High School. She went on to build a strong work ethic, dedicating several years to security services before joining Ford Motor Company, where she worked for over ten years until her retirement. No matter where life took her, Priscilla always found her way back to the people she loved most. Those who knew Poochie knew her big voice, her infectious laughter, and the magnetic energy she carried into every room. She found true joy in bringing people together, especially around a table of home-cooked meals prepared with love for family and friends. She was always up for a good card game, particularly Tunk and Spades, and she never turned down a trip to the casino or bingo hall. She also loved watching movies, with old westerns holding a special place in her heart. Priscilla was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Brown Sr., and her father, Foster Carroll Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted mother, Dorothy Carroll; her three loving daughters, Regina Foster, Denise Hall, and Shannon Brown; her sisters, Thelma Wendell, Thelma Carroll, and Sabrina Chester; her brothers, Robert Harper, Roland Harper, and Foster Jr.; along with a host of other family members and dear friends. Baptized at a young age at Wayside Baptist Church, Priscilla carried her faith quietly and steadily throughout her life. As it is written in John 11:25-26, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." Her daughter Regina wrote these words in her honor: "The moment that you left, my heart was split in two. One half is filled with memories, the other died with you. But missing you is a heartache that never goes away. I hold you tightly within my heart every night and day." Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at O.H. Pye Funeral Home, 17600 Plymouth Rd., Detroit, MI 48227. Family hour will be from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 12:30 PM.
