Marvin Glynn Hatley – August 1, 1933 – June 25, 2026

Marvin Glynn Hatley, known to many simply as Glynn, passed away on June 25, 2026, of natural causes near his home in Georgetown, Texas. He was 92 years old. Born on August 1, 1933, in Dallas, Texas, Glynn was a man of deep faith and unwavering principle. His life was guided by a strong moral compass, and those who knew him remember him above all for his honesty and his kindness. As a young man of just seventeen, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, beginning a lifetime of service and dedication. He went on to graduate from SMU Law School, an accomplishment that reflected both his intellect and his determination. Glynn built a distinguished career as Director International for Aerojet, a role that carried him across the globe as he oversaw the company's subsidiaries. A proud Rotarian and an accomplished public speaker, he generously gave his time and talents to his community. Beyond his professional achievements, Glynn found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved being outdoors, particularly on the golf course, where he spent countless hours perfecting his game on the putting green. He also delighted in tennis, in travel, and in cheering on his beloved SMU Mustangs and Dallas Cowboys. Yet of all his accomplishments, he was proudest of his children, who remained the center of his heart throughout his life. Glynn is survived by his daughters, Sherri Lynn Byk and Kelli Susanne Hatley; his son, Randall Glynn Hatley; his grandchildren Brian, Ryan, William, Christian, Joshua and Isabella; and his great-grandchildren Gregory, Benjamin, Vivian and June. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Dewey Hatley and by his mother, Willie Maurine Baggett. An internment will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen on September 16th at 1:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place at the home of his son, Randy, in Austin, on Saturday, October 17th at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in remembrance of a life well lived.
