Marie Ida Fazzary – October 30, 1944 – March 9, 2026
Marie Ida Fazzary, 81, of Orange City, Florida, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on October 30, 1944, in Binghamton, New York, Marie lived a life overflowing with warmth, laughter, and an unmistakable kindness that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Marie was, quite simply, one of those people you couldn't help but love. Sweet with a big heart and a genuine spirit. She was funny in the way that made ordinary moments memorable, She was the kind of person who made you feel welcome the moment you walked through her door, and chances are, something delicious was already waiting for you on the counter. In 1985, Marie married the love of her life, James W. Fazzary, and together they built a home filled with love, music, and the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals. Of all her many joys, Marie was proudest of her children and grandchildren. She poured herself into making their lives rich with love and memories, finding the deepest joy a mother and grandmother could know. Marie's passions were as warm and inviting as she was. She was a wonderful cook and baker, the kind who could make a kitchen feel like the heart of a home. Holidays were her specialty, not just for the meals she prepared, but for the way she gathered her family and friends close and made every occasion feel magical. She loved crocheting and crafting, finding quiet satisfaction in creating something beautiful with her own hands. Her garden and yard were a place of pride and peace, and she tended it with care and devotion. Marie also loved to travel, always eager to see new places and make new memories. She had a deep love for country music and never missed a chance to dance, whether at a gathering or simply in her living room. And then there was Thomasina, her beloved cat and faithful companion, who held a very special place in Marie's heart. Marie is survived by her devoted husband, James W. Fazzary; her daughter, Kimberly (Eddie); her son, Randy (Lisa); Suzanne (Fast Eddie); Nine grandchildren and Thirteen Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her mother (Ida Taylor), brothers Chuck and Richard and her stepson Stephen Fazzary, who held a special place in her heart. Marie's family welcomes those who knew and loved her to hold her memory close, to share a story, to cook one of her recipes, or to simply smile when they think of her. That is the kind of legacy she left behind, one made not of grand gestures, but of quiet, steady, boundless love. She taught us what it means to love fully and live joyfully, and for that, we will be forever grateful. Rest easy, Marie. You are so deeply loved, and you always will be.
