Jody Cleveland Sikes, 52, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on April 28, 2026. Born on July 15, 1973, in Savannah, Georgia, Jody was a man whose larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Jody grew up in the Savannah area, where he built a life defined by devotion to his family and an unwavering commitment to doing a good job no matter what task was before him. Whether at work or at home, he brought the same dedication and care to everything he undertook. Above all, he was immensely proud of his daughter, Kelsie, and his grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy. Those who knew Jody knew a man with a remarkable sense of humor, someone who could light up a room and make anyone feel welcome. He was kind, empathetic, and deeply caring, always looking out for the people around him with a genuine and loving heart. His warmth drew people to him, and his generosity of spirit kept them close. Jody had a passion for collecting sports memorabilia, a hobby he pursued with enthusiasm throughout his life. He loved spending time on the water fishing, enjoyed a cold beer with good company, and was known to take the microphone at karaoke with confidence and charm. These simple pleasures reflected who Jody truly was: a man who embraced life fully and shared that joy with others. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kelsie Elaine Sikes Scarborough; his son-in-law, Jason Scarborough; his grandchildren, Kellin and Dawson Scarborough, his mother, Patsy Ann Jenkins; his sisters, Tonya Marie Sikes Meushaw and Brandi Benton; and his brother, William "Billy" Sikes. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and dear friends who will carry his memory forward. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 7th, at 1:00 p.m. at Dean Forest Baptist Church, located at 1524 Dean Forest Road in Garden City. Visitation with the family will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Jody lived his life in the spirit of Romans 12:10, "Be devoted to one another in love." May he rest in eternal peace, knowing how deeply he was loved in return.
