Elizabeth Joyce Lacey – October 30, 1969 – February 17, 2026
Elizabeth Joyce Lacey, lovingly known to many as Beth or Nails, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, at her home in Magnolia, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 30, 1969, in Phoenix, Arizona, and lived a life full of laughter, determination, and love. Beth shared 34 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, John Lacey. Together they built a life rooted in family, faith, and adventure. She is also survived by her mother, Ada Leonard; her brother, Dell Merrill; her sister, Sandy; her sons, Shane and Aaron; and her daughter, Kira. Each one carries forward her warmth, humor, and strength in their own ways. For 20 years, Beth dedicated herself to serving others as a 911 dispatcher for Gila County and the Town of Payson, Arizona. Her compassion and calm voice were a source of comfort to many in moments of crisis. Later, she spent six years serving as a Court Liaison for Montgomery County, Texas, where she was respected for her integrity, diligence, and good-natured spirit. Beth was known for her quick wit, her loyalty to family and friends, and a sense of humor that could brighten any room. She loved to pull pranks on coworkers, ride her Harley named Ruby, and spend time with her beloved Chihuahua, Taz. She enjoyed concerts, bike events, and trips to the lake or beach, always embracing life with a feisty, positive attitude. Faith was central to Beth who was a proud member of Brotherhood Biker Church, she found strength and peace in her relationship with God. Her perseverance and deep belief guided her and comforted those who love her. A memorial service honoring Beth’s life will be held on Friday, March 27 at 2 p.m. at McNutt Funeral Home, 1703 Porter Rd, Conroe, Texas 77301.
