Chris George Kostopulos, 79, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on May 6, 2026, due to complications from surgery and Alzheimer's. Born on July 23, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Christ George Kostopulos and the late Hildred Kostopulos, Chris lived a full life marked by hard work, laughter, and a deep love for his family. Chris proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, a commitment that shaped the man he would become. After his military service, he built a career as a cement mason, earning the respect of those he worked alongside through his dedication and skill. He was the kind of guy who showed up, got the job done, and still had energy left over to make everyone around him laugh. And laugh they did. Chris had a great sense of humor that could light up any room. Whether he was at a family gathering, rolling strikes in his couples bowling league, or sitting next to his beloved wife Mary at a bingo table, Chris brought joy and warmth wherever he went. He was a proud member of the Corvette Club, where he shared his passion for classic cars with fellow enthusiasts. If you knew Chris, you knew he never met a Corvette he didn't admire or a joke he couldn't land. Chris was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Kostopulos; his son, George Chris Kostopulos; and his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Carrie (Thomas) Doebler; his grandchildren, Cassondra, Nicholas, and Jacob Kostopulos and Philip Doebler; and his great-grandchildren, Mallorie, Liam, Savannah, and Leonidas, all of whom will carry his humor and his heart with them always. Chris was a man of faith, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace in the arms of the Lord, reunited with Mary and those who went before him. His spirit, his laughter, and his love will echo through the generations he helped build. Service details will be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you share a good joke with someone you love, just the way Chris would have wanted it.
