Carl Raymond Johnson – August 30, 1955 – March 5, 2026
Carl Raymond Johnson, age 70, of Bismarck, Arkansas, passed away on March 5, 2026, following complications from a lung infection. Born on August 30, 1955, in Gallipolis, Ohio, Carl lived a life defined by devotion to his family, an unwavering work ethic, and a generous, caring spirit that touched all who knew him. Carl was, above all else, a family man. He dedicated his life to providing for and caring for those he loved, and he took immense pride in the family he and his wife built together. A hard worker by nature, Carl understood that true wealth was measured not in possessions but in the bonds shared with the people closest to him. Whether he was working on cars, settling in to watch his beloved western shows, or simply gathering with loved ones, Carl approached each day with quiet determination and warmth. In his later years, nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his great-grandchildren, whose laughter and energy filled his heart in ways words could not capture. Carl is survived by his devoted wife, Wanda Johnson; his daughters, Carla Duke and April Rose; his sons, Larry Johnson and Carl Johnson Jr.; his brother, Rome Johnson; as well as Carol Johnson, Edward Johnson, Hailley Johnson, Winterbrez Gragg, and Summerskye Gragg. He is also survived by five beloved great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Carl leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and steadfast commitment to family that will endure for generations. A proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Carl lived with the simple conviction that taking care of his family was life's highest calling. He fulfilled that calling every single day. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carl's life at a wake to be held at BEST WESTERN 1600 John Harden Drive Jacksonville, AR 72076 on Wednesday, March 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Carl are welcome to gather, share memories, and honor a man who gave so much of himself to others. May Carl find peace and rest in the arms of the Lord, and may his family find comfort in knowing that his love will forever remain with them.
